Steph Liptrot
About Me
We are excited to welcome Steph to team LCE! Her qualifications, skills, and qualities lead us down a new pathway, expanding the type of support achieved at LCE and making her the perfect fit for Academic Intervention Lead.
Steph is a qualified Primary teacher and PE specialist who brings a deep commitment to helping every young person reach their full potential. With her distinguished career, strong educational background, passion for physical education, and expertise in Phonics, Steph has helped pupils build skills that extend far beyond the classroom. She has also been instrumental in supporting colleagues and new entrants to the profession, guiding them through focused areas of professional growth and sharing her knowledge generously.
Growing up in a unique family environment where her parents provided foster care for many children, Steph gained early insight into the challenges faced by vulnerable young people. She saw first-hand how love, consistent support, and a nurturing environment are essential ingredients if young people are to engage meaningfully and achieve their dreams. Steph and her husband now proudly continue this tradition, providing respite support for children in Local Authority Care on a voluntary basis alongside raising their own young family.
Steph’s calm, consistent approach and natural ability to put people at ease create a warm, positive atmosphere where pupils feel safe to take risks, build resilience, and believe in themselves. As Academic Intervention Lead, she combines her professional expertise, primary curriculum design experience, and personal values to make a lasting difference.
