Lloyd Rigby
About Me
Lloyd joins LCE with great excitement, bringing a fresh perspective to the educational landscape. A former professional athlete, Lloyd enjoyed a successful career in football for clubs including Rochdale AFC and Stockport County before playing abroad, where responding to different cultures provided invaluable experience for his post-football career.
After retiring from professional sport to prioritise family life, Lloyd built a distinguished recruitment career, securing managerial roles across diverse sectors including industrial, manufacturing, logistics, production, engineering, and IT.
Lloyd has developed a coaching-focused leadership style that enables high-performing, innovative teams and drives consistent growth. Reinforced by his own school experiences, he is committed to helping pupils access career-focused education. Lloyd firmly believes that exposing pupils to contextualised learning experiences raises aspirations, boosts academic engagement, shapes post-16 plans, and highlights real-world opportunities. He uses his wider industry network to enrich classroom practice and personal development opportunities across LCE and its partner schools.
Recognising how pivotal a stable home foundation is, Lloyd believes education holds a privileged opportunity to provide stability, direction, and safety for young people, and he is genuinely excited to play a central role in this at LCE.
