Kevin Dawson

Kevin is yet another elite-level athlete joining LCE, having recently made the decision to retire from professional football. He knows exactly what it takes to perform at the highest level and, in a career spanning almost two decades across Junior and Senior squads, made an impressive 380 senior appearances representing clubs in Ireland and England, including Yeovil Town, Cheltenham Town, Forest Green Rovers, and Shelbourne.

Known for his determination, consistency, and team-first attitude, Kevin embodies teamwork, dedication, and strong core values. In his role as Elite Performance Lead, he draws upon his wealth of sporting experience alongside his recent educational practice to inspire young people, helping them develop the mindset, skills, and confidence needed to experience success in their chosen field.

In recent times, Kevin has ventured into education, guiding pupils as they work towards recognised qualifications in core areas of the curriculum. He brings the same discipline and encouragement from his football career into the classroom, creating a supportive environment where pupils feel motivated to achieve.

Growing up in a close-knit family, Kevin shares a special bond with his brothers, including Ste, who is an inspirational member of Team LCE. Recognising the absolute importance of having a reliable mentor, Kevin is determined to provide that same safe support, guidance, and encouragement for young people in need.
