Jill Williams
About Me
Jill has been relentless in her commitment to support pupils throughout her career and whole-heartedly subscribes to trauma-informed approaches. Her belief that this underpins true inclusion across education has embedded the foundations of her highly successful and influential career.
After initially qualifying as an English teacher and taking pride in adapting her lessons to be accessible for all, Jill quickly realised her natural strengths lay in working with pupils labelled as 'disaffected' or 'naughty'. Her career organically transitioned into leadership roles within learning support, prior to her appointment as NASENCO-qualified SENCO and Designated Teacher for Children Looked After, a role in which she proved transformational, establishing herself as one of the most highly regarded SENCOs across the borough.
Jill’s dedication led to her appointment on the board of governors for Oldham Virtual School. Furthermore, she has remained focused on continuous CPD throughout her career, becoming Level 7 qualified in psychometric testing, assessment, and Access Arrangements, an invaluable asset in identifying and understanding complex barriers to learning.
Jill is delighted to be part of the LCE team to support schools in their approach towards inclusive education, providing local authorities, families, and pupils with the guidance needed for a happy and successful educational experience.
