Helen Potts
About Me
Helen joins LCE following an extraordinary professional journey spanning both education and specialist speech and language provision.
After enjoying a successful 17-year career as a primary school teacher, Helen made the decision to further develop her expertise by retraining as a Speech and Language Therapist. This combination provides her with an incredibly valuable understanding of both classroom practice and the communication needs that can significantly influence a young person's ability to engage successfully with education.
In her previous role, Helen supported a large number of schools as their designated Speech and Language Therapist, developing considerable experience working collaboratively with educational professionals to identify needs and implement effective interventions.
Helen joins LCE as our leading Speech and Language Therapist, supporting pupils across our internal services while also extending specialist support to partner schools, trusts and local authorities.
Her expertise will further enhance LCE's multidisciplinary approach, ensuring communication needs are understood and pupils are equipped with the skills required to participate, connect and succeed.
